Good Government rehabilitates public lighting in neighborhoods of the capital

Advancing along routes of prosperity, the Sandinista Government, through the National Electricity Transmission Company (ENATREL), DISNORTE-DISSUR and the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, carried out the rehabilitation of public lighting for families in the neighborhoods of Edgard Munguía, Motastepe and María Auxiliadora, located in Districts I, II and IV, respectively.

The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, stressed that this benefit further consolidates the peace and tranquility of Nicaraguan families, "the children are already playing in the park and at this time, because it is illuminated and that is the purpose of our Good Government serve them more and better every day, but above all with quality of life and bringing them safety through this rehabilitation, that is why it is an inter-institutional effort”.

Through the execution of this plan, it was determined that the Edgard Munguía neighborhood has 88 lights installed, of which 27 were repaired, reaching 100 percent of the provision of public lighting service in this area, as reported by Comrade Santiago Bermudez of ENATREL.

During the delivery in the Motastepe neighborhood, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales reported that 82 lights were maintained in this community, of which 12 were replaced; He also explained that 35,000 light bulbs will be changed throughout the capital, to turn darkness into light.

While in the María Auxiliadora neighborhood, the inhabitants today already have 105 lights installed, all of them were reviewed through this rehabilitation plan and 10 lights were restored, to guarantee the lighting of the entire sector; benefiting 838 families, divided into 4 thousand protagonists.

With the light renovation plan, 98 neighborhoods in the municipality of Managua have been served, in District I 16 neighborhoods have been reached, District II 14 neighborhoods, District III with 13 neighborhoods, District IV and V with 17 neighborhoods each, District VI to 14 neighborhoods and District VII with 11 neighborhoods, where security and better conditions have been guaranteed to 129 thousand 74 homes (580 thousand 835 protagonists of right).

For their part, the families happily celebrated and thanked the illumination of their community, "this government has taken care to give us this light, since it prevents us from any mishap on the street, it is a great achievement, it is a blessing and with its projects continue to benefit the people”, affirmed the blind young woman Jassiel Garita.
