Streets for the People arrives at Villa José Benito Escobar

The inhabitants of Villa José Benito Escobar celebrated the happiest National Holidays in the last 20 years in their community, because they were benefited by the Calles para el Pueblo Program with the construction of 4.5 new blocks of streets covered with asphalt, the project has an investment of 2 million 520 thousand córdobas and directly benefits more than 13 thousand protagonists.

With these new streets, the neighborhood achieves a progress of 95 percent of its paved streets, as reported by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, during the work supervision tour.

"These streets are going to be very useful for all the inhabitants of this sector, here the families have waited many years and today thanks to the support of our Central Government led by Commander Daniel and the Vice President, Compañera Rosario, we are complying with it, it has been an intense work of more than 60 companions, for a week and a half, already with these streets the neighborhood is covered by 95 percent, "said Armas.

Likewise, he reiterated the commitment to continue meeting the demands of the families of District VI, Calles para el Pueblo will continue to build 27 new blocks pending delivery in the last quarter of the year.

Don Joaquín Silva, a resident of Villa José Benito Escobar, said that the street was in disarray and the situation worsened with the arrival of winter.

“Here we are all happy, the streets were pure holes, if it rained those of us who are elderly could not go out, but now they are going to be excellent and we thank the President, because since he came to power the neighborhoods come changing,” Silva said.
