Tribute to Heroes and Martyrs of the Battle of San Jacinto

With National Pride, officials and workers from the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua visited Casa Hacienda San Jacinto, to pay honor and glory to the heroes of that historic deed, in which a group of patriots defended national sovereignty against the invader.

During the visit led by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, they placed floral offerings at the monuments of General José Dolores Estrada and the Flecheros Indians of Matagalpa, located on the west side of the Casa Hacienda San Jacinto.

September 14, 1856, was a date in which it was shown that love of country and dignity are stronger than any invading force, since the North American filibusters outnumbered and outnumbered, but in the confrontation of the Battle of San Jacinto, 150 patriots heroically defended national sovereignty.

This is why the Battle of the Hacienda San Jacinto is one of the most memorable events in the history of Nicaragua, where the defense of national sovereignty against the invading Yankee is clear.
