Las Piedrecitas Park advances in its reconstruction works

The reconstruction of the first stage of the Las Piedrecitas park is advancing at a good pace, with a scope of 62 percent and it is expected to be ready by the end of next October, as indicated by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, during a supervision tour This Wednesday, September 7.

This stage contemplates the installation of pluvial drainage, sanitary sewage, an underground electrical energy system and drinking water, as well as the construction of 400 linear meters of perimeter wall, 1,300 meters of pedestrian walkways, the installation of 136 LED lights, restrooms, the construction of 2 kiosks and an area of 5,600 square meters for parking, with an investment of 102 million córdobas, explained Rueda.

Likewise, he stated that the commitment of the Sandinista Government is to guarantee recreational spaces for the enjoyment of families, “with this reconstruction of Las Piedrecitas Park, we are going to be totally new to all those memories we have of our childhood, that historical heritage, a park made in 1920, the commitment of our good government is to deliver the parks totally new, respecting mother nature, with all those historical trees, with more than 70 years, that is part of caring for our environment”.

The reconstruction of this park will have 3 stages, this year the construction of the first began, in 2023 the second will be executed and in 2024, the entire work will be completed with a third stage.
