Five blocks improve the access roads of the 18 de Mayo neighborhood

Authorities of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated on the afternoon of this Wednesday, September 7, 2022, a road improvement project through asphalt coating in the 18 de Mayo neighborhood, located in District V.

This project contemplated the paving of 5 blocks that were previously in poor condition in this part of the capital, with an investment of 2 million 485 thousand córdobas, executed through the Calles Para el Pueblo Program.

The inauguration was presided over by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who explained that the work benefits 2,226 inhabitants divided into 318 families, "we have already reached 848 new streets with these five that we are delivering here today, on behalf of Commander Daniel and the Compañera Rosario in the 18 de Mayo neighborhood and we have already reached 90.41 percent compliance with the Calles para el Pueblo Program and it is not just streets, it is schools for the people, hospitals for the people, it is the Bismarck Martínez program for the People”.

In this community, the Municipality has built 37 decent homes and has executed 10 road improvement and storm drainage projects since 2009, with an investment of 30 million 29 thousand 952 córdobas.

Doña Luz Amanda Reyes expressed her satisfaction and joy at the progress that has come to them, these streets were horrible, adults could not pass, the manjoles were useless, now we see that our Government performed the miracle of being able to have these streets and transit For sure, we are very happy”.

"We feel very grateful, because it gives the neighborhood another face, it looks different, now the children enjoy the streets, it is a great benefit for everyone," said the protagonist Ligia Reyes.
