The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, participated this Friday afternoon, September 2, in the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the teaching of civil engineering in the country, organized by the Faculty of Construction Technology of the Engineering University of Nicaragua (UNI), held at the Olof Palme Convention Center.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Good Government, APRODESNI, authorities and members of the university community of this alma mater, where the founding of the civil engineering school by engineer Julio Padilla Méndez was commemorated. as well as the development and strengthening of this career in Nicaragua.
During the event, Mayor Rueda shared the Managua Urban Development Master Plan contemplated until 2040, where all issues such as the environment, transportation, municipal urban planning with the construction of houses in the capital, among others, are taken into account.
The commemoration day recognized the best Civil Engineering students from first to fifth year, as well as the outstanding teachers of this career who are still active teaching at the university and some who are already retired.
