First Reading Promotion Workshop

The Directorate of Historical Heritage of the Mayor's Office of Managua, in greeting to the patriotic festivities, inaugurated this first of September, the first workshop to promote reading, aimed at municipal librarians, an educational day that will be held for 2 days.

In this event also, honor was paid to the Heroes of the National War between 1856 and 1857, in recognition of their bravery in defense of sovereignty.

“Today we are starting here in the replica of Casa Hacienda San Jacinto del Paseo Xolotlán a training workshop for librarians in homage to the national holidays, reading promotion techniques will be taught, because it is important that young people and children learn to dominate books and not only with the internet, in homage to all those men and women who defended our sovereignty” said the Director of Historical Heritage, Compañero Clemente Guido.

Sergio Bustamante, a Nicaraguan writer, declared that this workshop will serve so that in the future children can be writers, poets, documentary filmmakers, based on writing and orality.
