










From Puerto Salvador Allende, on the afternoon of this Monday, August 15, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, through the Directorate of Culture and Historical Heritage, presented awards to the winners of the Camilo Zapata Music and Singing Contest, as part of the Traditional Festivals of Managua.
Municipal contest that took place in the 7 districts of Managua, with the participation of boys, girls, adolescents and young people, between 9 and 35 years of age, informed Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales.
“The prizes are excellent, of 5 thousand, 8 thousand, 10 thousand, 12 thousand and up to 15 thousand córdobas for the winners of this contest, whose purpose is to promote the love of Nicaraguan music, our customs, at an early age. folklore and our beautiful Managua”, affirmed Armas.
Comrade Clemente Guido, Director of Historical Heritage, explained that a total of 23 composers participated, where the interpretation was taken into account, new compositions that will fill the collection of music and songs dedicated to the Patron Saint Festivities and to the city of Managua, "we must give opportunity to new composers to create new themes. We as the Mayor's Office will make the effort to record the 9 songs, to give them to the people.
