Santo Domingo de Guzmán returns to Las Sierras de Managua

The Mayordoma and Mayoress of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, together with the Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales confirmed the success in holding these festivities, thanks to the inter-institutional work to guarantee security, order and protection to the thousands of promising people who walked the streets, along the entire circuit of the procession.

“We are a people of peace, a Christian people and today with great fervor we say goodbye to our Patron Saint in the company of thousands and thousands of brothers, we celebrate our patron saint festivities like never before in 2022, all the institutions involved work in coordination to guarantee families an atmosphere of peace and security during the 10 days that the saint was there,” said Rueda.

As is a tradition in this farewell, Santo Domingo de Abajo was also present, meeting Santo Domingo in the Gancho de Camino sector in the Oriental market. Here both danced with their promises, showing that traditions are more alive than ever.

Vice Mayor Armas highlighted the massive participation of families in all the activities of the traditional festivals.
