The 8 markets of the Capital are ready and supplied to welcome families with solidarity promotions and prices, this long weekend when the August festivities begin.
The announcement was made by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, during a tour of the Jonathan González market, popularly known as El Periférico.
“We are going to have a great weekend, here in our Managua, Linda Managua and the capital markets such as El Periferico, Oriental, Iván Montenegro, Huembes, Mayoreo, Israel, San Judas, are going to have a huge clientele, That is why the fellow merchants who sell here fruits, meats, sausages, chicken, meats, will have very good prices”, Armas pointed out.
All consumers will be able to purchase the products of the basic basket at a very good price, while the typical clothing and accessories of traditional festivals can be purchased from 300 cordobas.
Freddy Casco, General Director of the Managua Municipal Market Corporation (Commema), affirmed that the markets are stocked to receive Nicaraguan families, "the Periférico market is ready for the August festivities, here we have clothes, footwear, pants , shirts, hats, so that we can get closer to all the markets in Managua, here we have all the products and items that we need in our homes”.
The municipal authorities reported that prior to the August festivities, they worked in coordination with the institutions and merchant associations to renew merchandise, establish solidarity prices and guarantee citizen security in all markets, with the aim of giving a boost to the economy of the country. At the same time, they reported that waterproofing works on the roof of this market are underway.
