Special Plan of Streets for the People benefits the families of the René Polanco neighborhood of District V

The Streets for the People Program in its Special Plan covered with asphalt 5 new blocks in the René Polanco neighborhood of District V, with this project the streets of the neighborhood are one hundred percent covered, as reported by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado during a tour of the site.

“Happy as a work team for the satisfaction that the population has, to see their dreams come true, today we have the good news that with these 5 blocks the neighborhood is fully covered, with this work we are meeting the demand of 390 families , all our teams are focused on meeting the demands of families in the capital,” said Rueda.

The road improvement work has an investment of 2 million 454 thousand 361 córdobas and benefits 2 thousand 730 protagonists, guaranteeing better conditions of access and road circulation, these streets spent 50 years in their natural state and will now be part of a passable road network and accessible.

Rueda explained that the neighborhood has a total of 40 covered blocks, thanks to teamwork and service to the population 24/7, at the same time he informed the inhabitants that the scope of the Streets for the People Program will be expanded from 833 blocks to more of 1000 blocks.

Juan de la Cruz is 70 years old and has lived in the neighborhood since its foundation and assures that these streets are happiness for the elderly.

“It is wonderful to be able to see these streets, we waited 50 years to be able to have them, these streets that are part of the main road to go to the health center, in winter one had to go out with two clothes, because when you managed to get to the health center You were soaking wet, seeing these works of our good government, our conviction becomes stronger, that is why we will continue supporting the Sandinista Front for 50 years.”

At the end of July, the Calles para el Pueblo Program has progressed by almost 87 percent with 724 blocks served.
