









This July 14, the date on which the National Flag Day is celebrated in Nicaragua. The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, through the Directorate of Historical Heritage, paid tribute to this emblematic national symbol that fills Nicaraguans with pride.
The solemn act was attended by the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, who stated that on this day tribute is paid with the commitment to continue working for the people, "accompanying from the Managua Mayor's Office and different state institutions such as the Mined, To honor our flag, a symbol that represents our nation, our freedom, our sovereignty and dignity, to the hardworking worker, today we pay tribute through the works and social programs that reach all families.”
“Today we are remembering the love that Sandino had for our national flag of Nicaragua. He said that this flag is immortal and depends on the people who defend it, who protect it, who wave it with pride, with a government that responds to that immortality”, declared the Director of Historical Heritage, comrade Clemente Guido.
The Nicaraguan flag was created by Legislative Decree on September 5, 1908, like the National Shield and on July 14, 1971, it was decreed as National Flag Day with the approval of Law 1908, Law on Characteristics and Use of National Symbols.
