Second Stage of the Junior Games Taekwondo Championship

This Sunday, July 10, the second stage of the Taekwondo championship was held at the Polideportivo España, through the Managua 2022 Youth Games.

This activity was attended by comrade Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, who explained that more than 250 athletes from 15 taekwondo academies of Districts IV, V, VI and VII of the capital participate in this sports event.

The official shared that the tournament will have fights in the different categories, with young people between the ages of 14 and 29, who will compete for first place in their category and gender; this as part of the support provided by the Government of Comandante Daniel and compañera Rosario, to sport in its different disciplines.

For his part, Mr. Salvador Zavala, President of the Nicaraguan Federation of Taekwondo, stated that thanks to the promotion of this sport, taekwondo has been gaining greater participation in recent years, which according to statistics already has more than 5 thousand athletes. at the national level.
