Inhabitants of the Carlos Núñez neighborhood inaugurate Streets for the People

The inhabitants of the Carlos Núñez neighborhood inaugurated on the afternoon of this Thursday, June 30, three new blocks of streets, which for more than 20 years were in their natural state, these were paved by the Calles para el Pueblo Program, the road improvement project It has an investment of a little more than 2 million córdobas and directly benefits 800 protagonists.

With the construction of the new streets, in addition to guaranteeing the growth of the road network and good circulation, better conditions are guaranteed for the inhabitants of this area in the rainy season.

When delivering the project to the protagonists of the community, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales reported that, at the end of the first half of the year, this emblematic program has progressed 80.42 percent, with 669 blocks served, of the 833 that will be rehabilitated this year. .

“Today we are closing the first semester of the year with an 80 percent progress in the Calles para el Pueblo Program, with these three blocks that we are delivering today on behalf of the Government of Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario, we reached exactly 669 streets new ones delivered”, highlighted Armas.

Doña Luvy Cruz stated that it is a magnificent work, “when I started living here the streets were made of dirt and the truth is that the progress they have made for the benefit of one is good, here in the winter the water got into the houses, it seemed like a riverbed, but now I am glad because, I am no longer going to be thinking that I am going to get up at midnight because of the rushing water”.

The Carlos Núñez neighborhood has a total population of 12,460 inhabitants, divided into 1,540 homes. From 2013 to 2022, the Municipality has invested a little more than 29 million córdobas in different projects and 83 houses have been built through the Decent Housing Program.
