Managua awarded with the contest "The Cleanest and Most Beautiful Park in the Capital"

In the picturesque and green Natural Park of La Divina Misericordia, located in Villa Fontana, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua received this Wednesday, June 08, 7 awards for the cleanest and most beautiful parks in the capital, granted by the Nicaraguan Institute of Municipal Development (INIFOM), as part of the national strategy that promotes Good Government in conjunction with the municipalities for the care and maintenance of recreational, sports and cultural spaces.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado, the companion Elieth Esquivel, representative of INIFOM and delegates from the districts of the commune.

For this national contest, each of the city halls registered at least one park to participate and according to the evaluations that were carried out, 85 parks received special recognition for their care, said compañera Esquivel, “with Managua, 33 parks from the municipalities of the department, of these 12 parks are going to receive recognition, because today we are culminating this process with the municipality of Managua, 5 of them stood out as Ticuantepe, San Rafael del Sur, Ciudad Sandino, Mateare and the capital”.

The Municipality participated in this contest "The Cleanest and Most Beautiful Park in Managua" during the month of May and the parameters to select the best were ornamentation, cleanliness at the time of the visit, painting in general, children's games and the most important component is the participation of the population, achieving with this initiative the empowerment of the community and recognizing the efforts that guarantee clean and beautiful parks, giving them more life and reaching the leading role of Nicaraguan families.

“This is everyone's work and adds to that extraordinary effort and dedication that our Good Government has, all the districts, all the families have been involved in this contest and we receive this recognition with great affection on behalf of the families of Managua. , which commits us more to keeping the parks in good condition,” said Mayor Rueda.

Among the recreational spaces that received recognition are the Divina Misericordia Natural Park, Bicentennial Park, Central Park, Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park, Las Madres Park, located in District I, Heroes and Mártires de Batahola Sur Park in District II and Los Marañones Park in District V.

Rueda added that the capital has 315 recreation spaces; between parks, courts and sports fields and for this year 2022 it is planned to carry out renovation works in 171 of these entertainment places throughout the municipality, through the Department of Ornament.
