





















The best women's basketball players in the country arrived at the Alexis Argüello Sports Center in the capital this Saturday, to be part of an expected All-Star Game within the framework of the Luisa Amanda In Memoriam Championship.
The meeting of these best talents marks the half of the local women's tournament supported by the Good Government through the Capital District. For this Saturday's appointment, the best athletes of the 12 teams of the first division championship and the rookie division presented themselves.
Team Yuri and Team Shanen participated in the higher categories. In this match, Team Shanen won with 82 points, while Team Yuri was left with 64 points. In the case of the rookies, the winner was Team Grissell who scored 66 points against the 64 points achieved by Team Nahomy. Grisell Guillén stood out in this last match and in the first, Joyce Gaitán from Real Estelí.
Before the long-awaited All-Star Game, the Mayor's Office of Managua, through the Sports Directorate, held the three-point shooting contest, in which the rookie Scarleth Olivas of the Las Juagares team of the UAM won. In the case of the skills contest, Laisha Romero had the best participation.
Romero, who plays for Real Estelí, thanked God and the Good Government for having the opportunity to play and get the victory, "it is a great help for the teenagers who are growing in their sport and I think it is very good that they support so that women show their power in disciplines like this”, he said.
Noel González, Director of Sports of the Municipality, explained that 48 players were invited to this sporting activity.
"I think it's exciting that girls participate in these games and in skill contests, we have already completed nine years promoting sports among female athletes and we will continue to do so due to the good results we have," added González.
