With the participation of 600 young people and adolescents from the capital, the indoor volleyball championship began this Saturday, May 14, in the youth and children's categories, which is part of the Managua 2022 Youth Games.
This competition will last 4 months and will take place on Saturdays starting at 3:00 in the afternoon. Most of the participating teams are academies from the entire department of Managua, including teams from Granada and Masaya.
During the sports day, 27 teams will participate, 12 in the female youth category, 8 teams in female mini volleyball and 7 in the male youth category; The event will take place in the volleyball courts of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary of the Council of Managua, Jennifer Porras López, who described it as an opportunity to strengthen the policies and strategies of the Municipality for sports, following the guidelines of the Good Government to promote healthy recreation in young people and the formation of a new seedbed, likewise made the invitation to be part of these academies that are totally free.
