In an atmosphere of family and community, the paving of 12 blocks in the El Recreo Sur neighborhood was inaugurated, as part of the Calles para el Pueblo 2022 Program, turning 13,333 inhabitants of this community in District III into protagonists of rights.
The work had an investment of 3 million 450 thousand córdobas and was delivered to the protagonist families by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who expressed the commitment of the Sandinista Government to bring well-being to the neighborhoods and communities, eliminating dirt streets to improve the access roads to these homes, which before were difficult to enter due to their poor condition.
With these new blocks, the Calles para el Pueblo 2022 Program has made a global progress of 74,16%, that is, to date 617 improved blocks have been reached, of the 833 projected to be served this year.
Likewise, the mayor of the capital announced that in the 3 sectors of the El Recreo neighborhood, the Municipality has paved more than 40 blocks of streets in recent years and built 61 decent homes, benefiting the same number of families who lived in vulnerable conditions.
In this community, a pluvial drainage work is completed, eliminating a critical point due to flooding, with the installation of 480 linear meters of pluvial drainage and the construction of inlets and wells for visits.
