

















In the Michele Richardson Olympic Pool Complex, the Second Edition of the National Swimming Championship was held, with amateur athletes from 45 Technological Centers in the country.
The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, the National Technological Institute (INATEC), the Nicaraguan Swimming Federation (FENANINA) and the Sandinista Youth, were the organizers of this event that took place on the afternoon of May 4, with the participation of more than 100 protagonists, 2 female athletes and 2 male athletes from each center, in the 50-meter freestyle category.
Noel González, Director of Sports of the Municipality highlighted that these spaces that allow the practice of different sports disciplines, are born from the concern of the Good Government to restore the rights of young people to healthy recreation.
This activity was attended by Walter Sáenz, Deputy Executive Director of Inatec, who expressed the enthusiasm of the young students for participating in this friendly competition between the different technology centers, "they want to do well, to show that in addition to being good students, they are also good athletes and this activity is a good tribute to our General Sandino, today on the Day of Dignity, telling him that we are defending national decorum,” said Sáenz.
Darwin Castro Hernández, a student at the Hotel Escuela Luxemburg in Pochomil, said he was happy to participate in this event that provides them with a healthy recreation, "our Government has provided us with these facilities and it is one more opportunity to discover our potential."
For her part, Deylin Dimara Murillo Castro, originally from Juigalpa, Chontales and a student at the Germán Pomares Ordóñez Technological Center, said she is grateful to the Good Government because it gives them free education and allows them to practice swimming.
At the conclusion, the first place winners will receive awards, medals and trophies.
