Storm drainage works in the Villa de Santiago urbanization progress satisfactorily

Bringing development and security to the families of the Villa de Santiago Urbanization and its surroundings, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua began a storm drainage project in the sector known as Avenida Aeropuerto, in District VI, which connects Sabana Grande with the expansion of the Larreynaga Track.

The Secretary General of the Commune, comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, made a tour to evaluate the progress of the project on the morning of this Saturday, April 9, and indicated that these works are part of the efforts made by the Municipality to have alternate lanes that allow circulation comprehensive and fluid vehicle to the city of Managua.

He explained that in this area, the first and second stages of the project are being worked on simultaneously, with the construction of almost 7 blocks, of the 14 that comprise the route to Sabana Grande.

Moreno reported that Avenida Aeropuerto is 1.3 kilometers long and since it is a drainage area for this entire area, there is a lot of water running over the streets, which makes it necessary to start drainage works on both sides of this avenue, with the construction of two gutters, one measuring 2.40 meters wide and the other 1.60, "the peculiarity of the work is that the platforms are on the canals to facilitate pedestrian passage," Moreno shared.

Likewise, the official from the capital affirmed that the drainage works are advancing at a good pace with a scope close to 50 percent and in the road work, work has been carried out so far on the base and sub-base, lacking only the bearing folder, The works are expected to be completed in the next 60 days. The amount of investment in this first and second stage is about 51 million cordobas.

The complete work of the first and second stages of the project is expected to be completed by the month of November, so that in 2023 the third and fourth stages will begin, which will reach Sabana Grande and in this way, the entire project will be completed. of road traffic.
