Art and culture present in the contemporary dance meeting

With the aim of promoting contemporary dance art, the Managua Mayor's Office in coordination with the "Adán Castillo" National Dance School and the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture (INC) organized a dance festival in which the schools of the municipality participated.

In this same event, the capital authorities informed the population of the reopening of the Academy, which will be in charge of the teacher Elving Vanegas.

Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Council of Managua highlighted that this festival is part of the promotion of art, culture and recreation spaces, "today the contemporary dance schools meet to demonstrate the talent and progress of the dancers, thanks to the coordination that we have with the INC and the Adán Castillo school”.

The official also invited all young people, children and adolescents who wish to learn the art of dance, to attend the dance academy, starting next week, for free.

Teacher Mercedes Grijalva, director of the Adán Castillo National Dance School, confirmed that only the Sandinista Government has been capable of developing and proliferating culture at all levels, ages and social sectors.

"These festivals are a hotbed of artistic talent in Nicaragua, today our artists met to invite the youth who like this expression to train in the different academies of the country, to all the places that cultural work can reach, the Government, under the direction and guidance of our Comandante Daniel and Compañera Rosario, is what has made this possible, because since 1980 they have been very categorical that culture is important for human development,” Grijalva stressed.

The dance classes will have two venues: in the old Gran Hotel from Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon and on Saturdays in Parque Las Madres, from 8:00 in the morning to 12:00 in the afternoon. midday.
