Managua Athletics Academy reaches its first anniversary

In an atmosphere of competition and celebration, the First Anniversary of the Athletics Academy of the Municipality took place on the afternoon of this Saturday, March 26, on the track of the Nicaraguan Sports Institute (IND).

The commemorative activity was presided over by Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, who expressed the commitment of the Sandinista Good Government to support and promote sport in its different disciplines.

“For us it is very important, because we are complying with all the strategies of our Good Government to promote sports to our youth, children and adolescents, since this comes to contribute to all values, both physical, emotional, cultural and academic. Porras added.

There were 135 athletes who participated in this sporting activity, in the different categories U11, U13, U16, U18, U20 and Free category, where in the end the best athletes were awarded.

The event was attended by 4 teams from Granada, Villa el Carmen and 2 academies from Managua: Los Hermanos Larios and Los Leones, which are the names of the academies administered by the Capital Commune.
