The women's basketball tournament "Luisa Amanda In Memoriam" takes off

Thanks to the support of the Good Sandinista in the different sports disciplines, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, the Ninth Edition of the National Basketball Tournament "Luisa Amanda Espinoza in Memoriam" was inaugurated, with the participation of 11 teams, with more than 200 female athletes.

On this occasion, the Jaguares from the American University (UAM), who are the defending champions of the tournament, will seek to defend their title against Real Estelí Basket, La Paz Centro, No Fear, who are the runners-up in the tournament, Leonas from the Mayor's Office of Managua , Eagles, Raptors, Panthers, the Under 15 and Under 16 National Team and the Marly G.

The sports activity was attended by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who stated that she was very grateful and happy for the participation of women, "as the Managua Academy we are growing both in the quality and in the number of athletes who participate. in basketball it is the ninth edition that will last 3 months, we thank the coaches and the families”.

During the tournament, each team will be made up of two minor players, each on their respective field. If at the time of the game the team does not have a minor, it automatically loses. This is part of the formation of this sports discipline.

This competition will last three months and will be played in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park, the Alexis Argüello Sports Center and in La Paz Centro.
