In attention to the families that live in conditions of critical social emergency, the Good Government through the Municipality delivered a new solidarity house in Villa Cuba of District 5, with which it makes the family of Mrs. Ofelia Angélica the protagonist of changes Mairena Castillo.
With this new house, Villa Cuba reaches a total of 17 solidarity homes built since 2012, for the same number of families, who express their gratitude to the Sandinista Government.
Doña Ofelia Mairena said she was happy to receive the keys to her new home, because her old house, which was built of tin and wood, could not last another winter, "I think it's unbelievable, it's a dream come true, we are blessed with this little house ”, he referred.
This new solidarity home was delivered by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, in a family and community environment, accompanied by a day of medical care and cultural activities, with piñatas, face-painting clowns and balloon twisting.
"We continue to advance, the recommendations that our Good Government gives us, is that we are in direct communication with the families to find out what the problems are and what we can do together and we have really been attending to the needs and demands of our people, especially to the families that have had the risk of even collapsing their homes,” said Rueda.
The municipal official explained that since 2009, when the Decent Housing Program was born, 13,000 homes have been built in Managua alone, dignifying the same number of homes, and for this year 2022, the emblematic love and solidarity program plans to build 200 more homes throughout the municipality, thus reiterating the Good Government's commitment to continue supporting families living in risky conditions in the face of natural disasters.
