Family from the Las Torres neighborhood blessed with their new Solidarity Housing

Full of emotion and joy, because she will no longer experience difficulties in the winter season, Mrs. Aleyda Liseth Torrez and her family, residents of the Las Torres neighborhood, in District IV of the Capital, received this Tuesday, March 1, the keys to their new house, built by the Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua.

Torrez, who lives with her husband and their 3 children, stated that she spent more than 12 years experiencing anguish every time it rained, "thanks to God and to our Commander Daniel Ortega, Vice President Rosario Murillo, I am happy, happy, for giving me the roof where live and I won't get wet anymore, it's a great blessing”.

From 2015 to 2022, 8 projects have been carried out in this neighborhood for the benefit of the population and with the Decent Housing Program from 2009 to today, 68 new homes have been built, which have changed the lives of the same number of families, affirmed the Secretary of the Council of Managua, Jennifer Porras López, during the inauguration ceremony.

The Las Torres neighborhood has 5,850 inhabitants distributed in 1,131 homes, which have received in recent years road improvement projects, sanitary sewerage, and storm drainage, with an investment of approximately 24,800,000 córdobas.

For this year, with the Annual Investment Plan 2022, the Municipality plans to carry out 11 district projects in District IV, with an amount of 15 million córdobas, for the execution of road works and storm drainage in different neighborhoods of this zone of Managua.
