Residents of the El Recreo neighborhood celebrated the delivery of 10 new blocks, built by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, through asphalt coating, with an investment of 4 million 461 thousand córdobas, which is part of the Calles Para el Pueblo 2022 Program.
This work for the common good directly benefits 13,333 inhabitants of this sector of Managua, which in addition to contributing to improving the conditions of the residents of the neighborhood and its surroundings, guarantees a passable and accessible road network.
The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, during the inauguration shared that in this neighborhood since 2009, the Municipality has been carrying out road improvement, storm drainage, and sanitary sewage works. Up to now, progress has been made of 22 percent in the Streets Program, which represents the delivery of 187 improved blocks in the different Districts.
Aura Velásquez, a resident of El Recreo, said that before the streets were terrible and now they are happy because several of their streets have been built only by the Good Government.
"It completely changes our lives because we are blessed by God and our Commander Daniel Ortega, because in these streets you could not even pass, we are very proud, happy," said Mrs. Gloria Isabel Flores.
