Managua elects members for the Court of Juries of Conscience 2022

On the morning of this Sunday, February 06, the Honorable Council of Managua carried out the removal of 100 citizens, to serve as members of the court of juries of conscience in the First Criminal District Court, corresponding to the year 2022, complying with what was established in Law 232, "Law of Reforms to the Code of Criminal Instruction" in its article number 1.

This selection was made in a special session, which took place in the auditorium of the Japanese park in the capital, an activity in which Dr. Irma Laguna Cruz, First Criminal District Judge of Managua, was present, who explained that this election It takes place on the first Sunday of February, in compliance with the constitutional mandate of the Supreme Court of Justice, to attend the processes that are under the Criminal Instruction Code.

For her part, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado explained that the selected members were proposed by the councilors of the different benches of the Capital Council, members of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Public Ministry.

The disinfection was carried out with an electronic raffle and they will serve for the period of 2022, as members of the court of juries of conscience for the First Criminal District Court of Managua, whom the Judicial Power will train to better exercise their functions.

This new list of jurors of conscience for the 2022 period was certified by Mayor Reyna Rueda, Judge Irma Laguna Cruz and fellow Council Secretary Jennifer Porras, who signed the list of 100 selected citizens.
