Committed to promoting sports in children, youth and adolescents, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, opened this Sunday, January 30, the Managua Skateboarding Academy, located in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.
There are more than 30 participants who can arrive every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, the classes will be given free of charge, on the track of this sports discipline.
The Director of Sports of the Municipality, Noel González, shared that this is the thirteenth academy that the Good Government has installed for young Skateboarding fans.
“As the Mayor's Office of Managua, we have provided some skateboards, helmets, elbow and knee pads so that children have the necessary protection to practice this beautiful sport that every year has more fans. We are going to have 3 instructors who will be there every Sunday sharing their experiences and skills with these children”, González highlighted.
Javier Martínez, instructor of the academy expressed that this discipline is fun and physically very demanding, "it is an extreme sport and we are very happy to inaugurate this academy, nWe instruct children from the age of 5, we teach them to roll on the skateboard. Use the different ramps that we have in this circuit, but not only that, we also teach them camaraderie”.
