During the morning of this January 18, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua organized the poetic declamation contest "Mano a Mano de Rubén a Lolita", which is held in celebration of the 155th anniversary of the birth of the Prince of Castilian Letters Rubén Darius.
With this activity, the Municipality begins the Dariana Day 2022, which runs from January 18 to February 6, starting with the commemoration of his birth and culminating with the 106th anniversary of his passage to another plane of life.
This declamation contest "Mano a Mano de Rubén a Lolita", is also held in honor of the centenary of the birth of Lolita Soriano Estrada, who was an exemplary woman in the social work of education and culture, leaving a beautiful legacy to the Nicaraguans.
Various poems including: Sonatina, Madre, Lolita, Cosas del camino a Lolita Soriano, Del Trópico, Caupolicán, Los Motivos del Lobo and A Margarita, were recited by the children of the San Isidro Labrador region, who gathered at the school Felix Ruben Dario Sarmiento
This year the Jornada Dariana is dedicated to Lolita Soriano, in fair recognition of her cultural contributions, as well as her intellectual and investigative effort, to learn about the life and work of Rubén Darío, being one of the first Nicaraguan women to dedicate herself to Rubendarian studies.
