Sea Lions Swimming Club receive sports materials

With the aim of promoting and supporting sport in all its disciplines, the Mayor's Office of Managua delivered sports equipment to the Leones Marinos swimming team, made up of 41 swimmers belonging to the Swimming Academy, in a small ceremony that took place in the Complex of Michele Richardson Pools.

Jennifer Porras, Secretary of the Managua Council, explained that from the capital commune through the Department of Sports, the different disciplines are being strengthened, to guarantee the future of children, adolescents and young people.

"We are going to deliver divers, jackets and shirts for the entire team, there are 41 athletes who will receive their uniform, this is an encouragement to the dedication and discipline of these adolescents and young people, in advance we thank their parents who trust in the training that we are providing to their children, we are proud of the work of this team, of this academy that in two years has achieved great triumphs”, said Porras.

He also stressed that this equipment is part of the policies and strategies of the Good Government of Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario, to encourage new generations.

“So that we can build a generation that is useful, not only in education, not only in values, but also in sports, these young people, tomorrow will be those athletes who will represent Nicaragua, at the national and international levels. international”, valued the mayor of the capital.

The municipal authorities highlighted the participation of the swimming athlete, Brandon López, who has represented the country at the Central American level, winning bronze and silver medals.

For his part, Noel González, Sports Director of the Municipality, expressed the commitment to continue supporting the new seedbeds of the capital and thanked the efforts of the parents belonging to this club.

"For us it is a commitment to train these athletes, we know that their parents trust us, because once these children and adolescents enter the pool complex, they are our responsibility," González concluded.
