Next Monday, January 17, more than 500 boys and girls who are cared for by the 12 Child Development Centers (CDI) of Managua, will begin their 2022 school year in a completely improved school environment, thanks to the Annual Investment Plans (PIA). ) developed by the Municipality in each of these centers.
The Mayoress of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, visited the Guadalupe Jirón Child Development Center, where the paint is being renewed, the roof changed and the playgrounds are being repaired to receive the 116 children who will be cared for by this center, of whom 62 girls and 54 boys.
“By the grace of God we continue to attend to those mothers who have had the problem of not having someone to take care of their children in each of the homes. So, that is part of the unconditional support that the Mayor's Office has had since 2015, but we have a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of the Family to be able to meet all that demand that we have " , said the mayor of the capital.
He added that these centers are equipped and have trained personnel to provide comprehensive care to children, from Monday to Friday from 7:00 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, "we have care in the Infant mode that are children between 1 to 3 years old and we have a Preschool modality with children from 4 to 6 years old”.
In the same way, he explained that each Child Development Center has a comfortable infrastructure adjusted to the needs of minors, they have a kitchen area where they are provided with breakfast, lunch and a snack, there is also a playground, bathrooms and also classrooms where they have time for teaching, which contributes to the well-being of the pampered at home.
Martha Maradiaga, director of the CDI Guadalupe Jirón, affirmed that many of the fathers and mothers are entrepreneurs, that while they work they leave their children in the center, each teacher has the responsibility of caring carefully and in a personalized way between 10 to 15 children .
