A few days before celebrating Christmas Eve, the Municipality, in coordination with the merchants of the 8 markets of Managua, are prepared to receive Nicaraguan families with excellent offers and discounts on all their products, during the coming weekends.
One of the shopping centers is the Mayoreo market that has discounts from 10 to 50% on appliances, clothing, footwear, toys for the kings of the home and a good supply of products used for Christmas dinner.
During the visit to this market in the capital, the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, announced that this shopping center houses 2,041 fixed sections, 350 temporary and 350 street vendors and welcomes approximately 15,000 visitors daily, from the neighborhoods surrounding areas and the northern departments of the country.
“In these days of Christmas, in this month of December, thanks to that enormous economic impulse that has been generated as a result of the excellent year that we are having, the market has even more movement, very good sales have been observed, excellent sales, all of these weeks and the economic dynamism should increase even more these days, as December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 approaches, there are very good promotions in clothing, appliances, cell phones, meats, fruits and vegetables,” Armas said.
Likewise, he added that in this Mayoreo market, the construction of a solid waste collection was carried out and the improvement of 11 new streets with hydraulic concrete and asphalt is carried out, through the Calles para el Pueblo Program, while working on the installation of drinking water, sewage and rainwater.
The merchants affirmed that they are already offering great discounts and promotions, so that Nicaraguan families take advantage of and obtain their quality items at low prices, "we have in promotion everything that is the line of electrical appliances, a discount 20%, 50% in toys, a 30% in the area of bicycles, speakers, DVDs, sound equipment, a 10% discount on plastics and a 20% on cell phones,” said merchant Roney Jarquín.
Also, the merchant José Luis Reyes, thanked God for reaching this high season of the year, "we merchants plan to provide quality and good service to our visitors, this season we are promoting great deals on clothing and footwear, we provide security so that they visit us with confidence that they are buying in a safe market, we invite the population to continue attending every day, we have had a full house and we are fully supplied”.
The Wholesale Market was founded in 1980, it is located in the extreme east of the City of Managua. It is a market that is characterized by the sale of fruits, vegetables and citrus fruits which are transported to most of the northern departments, such as Matagalpa, Estelí, Jinotega, Nueva Segovia, Nueva Guinea among others, the sale activity is also highlighted of basic grains.
