The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua participated, this Thursday morning, December 2, in the Departmental Forum of Creative Economy with representatives of the public sectors of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity led by Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo.
This forum was held to generate a space for discussion around strategic issues of local and territorial order, where the actors of the prioritized sectors within the framework of the Nicaragua Creativa National Program participate.
As part of the forum, panels were held with government officials at the local level, entrepreneurs, local protagonists, teachers, artists and innovators, who addressed issues such as identifying opportunities and challenges for the Local Creative Economy, the promotion of local creative and cultural industries , the potential in knowledge management and innovation in rural and urban areas in the Capital.
The Mayor of Managua, compañera Reyna Rueda Alvarado, highlighted that in the framework of the fight against poverty promoted by the Sandinista Government, progress has been made in strategies that help guarantee this goal of independence and economic self-sustainability as a society and a country.
“In March of this year, our Good Government took on the task of organizing and promoting protagonists who, from their work experiences that are part of this economic concept, have promoted the formation of the Territorial Commissions of the Creative Economy in each district of the municipality, headed by the district delegates and their creative economy technicians; representatives of the institutions that have a presence in the territories according to their development and economic drive. Due to the characteristics of Managua, we have the participation of almost all the institutions, which are also part of the National Commission,” said the mayor of the capital.
