This Sunday, November 27, the final of the Taekwondo championship was held, as part of the Managua 2021 Youth Games, in which more than 200 athletes from the different Managua academies participated.
During the tournament, the Cadet categories participated, made up of adolescents between 12 to 14 years old, Youth between 15 to 17 years old and Adult, athletes between 18 to 29 years old.
The event was chaired by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who highlighted the growth of this sports discipline that is being promoted the most at the national level, as a result of the support provided by the Good Government to healthy recreation.
For his part, Mr. Salvador Zavala, President of the Nicaraguan Federation of Taekwondo, explained that this sport has become widespread in recent years and already has more than 5 thousand athletes throughout the country.
The Managua 2021 Youth Games is a sports platform to promote entertainment, fun and integration opportunities in all the territories of the Capital, with a high population density.
