Family from the Havana neighborhood has a new home thanks to the Dignified Housing Program

The protagonist Ruth Delmira Hernández waited for 18 years to see her dream come true, she and her family live in the Havana neighborhood of District I and as of today she will no longer be exposed to vulnerability or danger when it rains.

The keys to the new home were delivered by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado and the new Ambassador of China-Taiwan in Nicaragua, Mr. Iván Yueh Jung Lee, who participated in his first act as a diplomat.

“Today we are very happy to receive our brother friend and ambassador Iván Yueh-Jung Lee and his wife Andrea Lee, we welcome them with an open heart., These are missions of love, solidarity, of accompaniment and one of the brother peoples and governments that has been there at the forefront is the sister Republic of China-Taiwan ”.

Rueda affirmed that this delivery is the fourth house to be built in the Havana neighborhood and 57 more have to be delivered, to complete the 500 houses proposed for 2021.

The new ambassador reiterated his country's commitment to continue supporting this project promoted by the government of President Daniel Ortega, “I am honored to be in the company of Mayor Reyna Rueda, in this act symbolizing the bonds of fraternity and cooperation between our peoples. Today we handed over the keys to her house to Mrs. Ruth Hernández Reyes and her family, who, thanks to the coordinated work between Taiwan and Nicaragua, achieve the dream of decent and safe housing. It is a beautiful project that I am getting to know and I am happy that Taiwan has contributed since 2018 to make the dream of 445 families in the capital come true ”.

The protagonist, Ruth Hernández Reyes, said she felt happy, because she and her son, who is the one who accompanies her, is no longer going to get wet, “I would like to thank the kingdom of heaven, because it touched the heart of the Nicaraguan government and to the government of Taiwan that has blessed many people, many families who were homeless. I waited for this miracle for 18 years, but it was at the Lord's moment that I would receive it ”, the new beneficiary affirmed excitedly.
