Soccer Academy teams receive sports supplies

With the firm determination to contribute to the comprehensive training of young soccer fans, the Capital District delivered sports materials to the Academies of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Complex.

The Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, presented this equipment consisting of 18 balls, 15 plates, 15 cones, 20 vests, 6 fences, 1 air pump, 1 ladder and 1 bozu, valued at 38,000 cordobas, the that will be used for the training of 144 children and young people from the different categories of this sports discipline, which is considered the most popular in the world.

“Today we are practically breaking the fires in the school vacation season, with the children of the academies, we are going to have children from 6 to 17 years old, young men and women, remember that now there is a lot of women's sports in our country, a lot of soccer women's, a lot of women's volleyball, basketball, women's athletics and the foot ball is no exception, "said the mayor of the capital.

He shared that 4 coaches will work decisively in weekly sessions. The academies with boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 8 years old and 9 to 13 years old, the training will be on Monday and Wednesday, from 4:00 to 5:20 in the afternoon.

The U11 category will exercise on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 to 5:20 in the afternoon and the U15 and U17 categories will train in this discipline, the same days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, but at different times of 2 :00 to 3:45 in the afternoon and from 3:45 to 5:30, respectively.

Armas reported that, in addition to having qualified instructors, the little athletes also have excellent psychologists, "it is important that the child and young person is a leader in goals, that he is the best goalkeeper, the best defender, but it is important that he is a very good boy, be a good son, a good student”.

María Elieth Centeno, a psychologist from the Academies, expressed her satisfaction with the delivery of these sports materials, because the children feel motivated, especially during this period of school vacations.

He highlighted the importance of balancing soccer classes with psychological aspects, since it helps children to have a better performance on the field, "my support is merely in the educational aspect, transmitting values that strengthen the technical-tactical classes that teachers do.
