Sixteenth delivery of social interest housing of the Bismarck Martínez Program

This Saturday, October 30, the Villa Jerusalem social interest development reached a population of 1,650 families, thanks to the sixteenth installment of 100 more homes carried out by the Bismarck Martínez Program.

During the award ceremony, the Mayoress of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, stated that having one's own home is a right, which becomes a reality for families who do not have access to loans from banks, thanks to this Good Government policy, which directed by Commander Daniel Ortega and the Vice President, compañera Rosario Murillo.

"These specific guidelines of our good Government to improve the conditions of his people through strategies, is from a President who loves his people, before 2007 families did not have the right to dream of their home, because it was impossible for were a reality, as is the case today, because they were not subject to credit in any bank”, said Rueda.

Doña Flor de María García, 68, a teacher and now retired, is one of the protagonists. She worked as a teacher for 40 years and applied when she was INVI, but they never gave her the opportunity to obtain her home and she spent 41 years renting.

“And today I feel blessed, because this government, even though I am retired, this government is giving me my house, I am happy, because I filed papers with the other governments that passed before the Sandinista front, but they never gave me an answer,” Garcia said.
