Cemeteries in the capital ready to commemorate the day of the faithful departed

Approaching November 2, the Day of the Faithful, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua announced that all cemeteries in the Capital are prepared to receive thousands of families who come to visit their relatives.

On this occasion, the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López attended the Puertas del Cielo cemetery, located in the Milagro de Dios neighborhood of District V and announced that since this Thursday, October 28, the Municipality held an intensive session in all graveyards.

He also shared that road infrastructure works, painting of platforms, curbs and lights are being carried out to receive with better conditions the families who will pay tribute to their loved ones.

“Puertas del Cielo in the Milagro de Dios neighborhood, was founded in 2004 and we have 19 thousand 600 lots in 16 blocks, it is a cemetery that has been closed, because it no longer has more space, however for this November 2 We have the great responsibility of waiting between 10 and 15 thousand people who come to visit their relatives each year in this cemetery, ”explained Porras.

Likewise, the capital official shared that the Inter-institutional commission made up of the Municipality, the National Police, the Ministry of Health and the Firefighters determined to install a command post in each cemetery, to guarantee cleanliness, road and pedestrian safety in the surroundings of the cemetery and medical care for any health incident of visitors.

Porras added that among the sanitary measures that will be applied, there is the mandatory use of a mask for all those who enter cemeteries, social distancing and the general sanitation of the cemetery prior to November 2 and after the visit of the capital's families concludes. to his relatives.
