XIV Folk Dance Encounter "The Artists All Together"

Fulfilling the commitment to keep Nicaraguan culture alive and bring fun to families, the fourteenth folk dance meeting was held with the slogan "Artists All Together", which took place on the afternoon of Sunday, October 24, in the Bicentennial park square.

The activity was chaired by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who said that this cultural meeting takes place with the participation of 250 artists from different regions of the country, who come in coordination with the Vice Rectorate of Student Affairs of UNAN Managua.

He also announced that among the groups that participated in the event are dance groups from the Rubén Darío University Campus of UNAN Managua; as well as artistic groups from the departments of Matagalpa, Estelí, Carazo, Chontales and representatives of the Native Peoples of the North Caribbean, Alto Wangki and the South Caribbean.

For her part, Professor Lesbia Grijalva, Director of Culture of UNAN-Managua, said that the XIV Folk Dance Encounter began with a discussion and exchange of experience between the artists and ended with this artistic gala in a public square, for the enjoyment of families.
