Managua is once again the headquarters of Central American sports, with the Twenty-First Indoor Volleyball Cup in the Senior Female category, which will take place from this Sunday, October 17 to Saturday, October 23, at the Alexis Argüello sports center.
The participating nations of this event are: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua; who will compete for the first place of the tournament.
The event was chaired by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who highlighted the commitment of Good Government in supporting sport in its different disciplines, guaranteeing recreation and healthy recreation for new generations.
For her part, engineer Bertha Cuadra, President of the Nicaraguan Volleyball Federation, expressed her gratitude to the Sandinista Government, for the support provided for the realization of this championship in which Central America returns to the courts after a year and a half without tournaments of this level.
The inaugural activity was attended by Mr. José de Jesús Martínez, Ambassador of Panama in Nicaragua, supporting the Panamanian volleyball team and expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the sporting event.
For their part, the athletes were happy with the reception and the attention provided, and they are also very excited to participate in this competition in which they will give their best on the field, as stated by the young athletes Dazly Durán from Honduras and Tatiana Zeas from Costa Rica.
The championship was inaugurated with the game between Nicaragua and Panama, where the Pinolero team beat the Canalero team 3 to 0, in an environment where both teams demonstrated their talents and sports experience.
