Managua's new zoning and land use regulations are presented

In the auditorium of the Japan-Nicaragua Friendship Park, building authorities presented the project of the new zoning and land use regulations for Managua, which is part of the Municipal Urban Development Plan, promoted by the Sandinista Government for the benefit of families in the capital.

This presentation was chaired by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, comrade Camilo Fonseca, Director of the Environment and Urban Planning of the Municipality, and representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Nicaragua.

During this event, Mayor Rueda highlighted the different efforts that Good Government has been developing, from 2009 to date, to improve the living conditions of families in the capital, through the implementation of mitigation projects, which have contributed to significantly reduce critical points in the city, from 130 to 57 that exist today; also the implementation of the Municipal Urban Development Plan.

This project creates a regulation that will serve as an instrument to regulate the urban development standards of the city, avoiding the disorderly growth of commercial and residential areas, as well as the consolidation of the urban center and its sub-centers; With the implementation of this new regulation, better living conditions will continue to be guaranteed for families in the capital, in addition to the beautification and modernization of the Capital.
