As of today, children and young people from the Georgino Andrade neighborhood in District VII of Managua have a completely rehabilitated recreation space for the development of sports and family recreation.
The work that is part of the 334 recreational spaces in Managua, was delivered by the Secretary of the Managua Council, Jennifer Porras López, who reported that annually the Municipality performs maintenance on these recreational areas and this time, it consisted of renovation and painting. of the metallic structures and the perimeter mesh of the field, the damaged lights were repaired and the concrete bleachers were renovated, as well as the dugout.
In the delivery ceremony, the municipal official announced that the project had an investment cost of 1,200,000 córdobas and benefits more than 11,000 inhabitants, approximately 1,255 families in the neighborhood.
“From here all the seedlings are born that in the future will be part of our national teams. So we come to strengthen the children of Georgino Andrade, thanks to the policies of our Government, thanks to the accompaniment of social, sports, and cultural programs that are aimed at youth with quality and for free ”, expressed Porras.
Kenia Moncada is the baseball coach of more than 60 children in this populous neighborhood, in three categories: Pee Wee that goes from the ages of 5 to 7 years, the other category is with children of 11 and 12 years of age and the category juvenile aged 12 and 13 years.
“The children are delighted and happy. We played when all this field was bare and now we have this happiness to see this change and enjoy it, "said Moncada, communicating to the parents of families that the doors of this field are open for all children who want to practice baseball, on the days of Training is from Monday to Wednesday and from Friday to Sunday, the children carry out friendly competitions with neighboring neighborhoods.
