Ciudad Belén with a Roads and Storm Drainage Project

The authorities of the Capital Commune carried out on the morning of September 16, a supervision tour of the completely new 8-block road improvement and storm drainage project in Ciudad Belén.

This supervision visit of the Streets for the People 2021 Program was made by Comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, who announced that in addition to the construction of 8 blocks of hydraulic concrete, work is being done a little more than a kilometer of storm drainage and has an investment of 25 million córdobas and is part of the 2021 Annual Investment Plan.

"We are building 8 blocks of hydraulic concrete and a little more than a kilometer of storm drainage at the main entrance of Ciudad Belén, where it can allow permanent circulation," Moreno said.

Likewise, the mayor of the capital explained that the drainage will allow the waters not to fall on the track and be able to channel it towards the micro-dam that was built north of the Larreynaga track.

The work is one of the most important projects that continues to give better living conditions to the more than 2,000 homes in this part of Managua, it has an advance of 71% and the drainage works have 99%, which are practically finished.
