Mural of the Bicentennial of Central American Independence

Within the framework of the festivities of the national month and as part of the rescue of the culture and national identity, the Directorate of Historical Heritage of the Commune presented the work of the mural of the Bicentennial of Central American Independence.

The presentation was made by comrade Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, comrade Clemente Guido, Director of Historical Heritage and the author of the muralist work Rolando Bojorge.

The mural is divided into 2 segments, one in which the struggle for Central American independence and its heroes are honored; in the other, the anti-interventionist struggle in the National War is highlighted and the national heroes are honored.

The municipal authorities shared that the work will be reproduced and will be located in the Carlos Fonseca Amador museum, in front of the old baseball stadium and will be exhibited in a small format to illustrate the new generations.

The artist of the mural is a young man from Diriamba, who is the creator of a large part of the murals where nationalism is highlighted; He is also the author of the work of the Bicentennial of the Leal Villa de Managua, which is exhibited in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park.
