















The Good Government led by Commander Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, is holding the first simultaneous 50 vs 1 chess competition as part of the promotion of sport in its different disciplines .
The first simultaneous 50 vs 1 competition will be given by the rector of the UAM, Martín Guevara, 8 times national champion, hall of fame and the only Nicaraguan chess player who has been decorated with the Alexis Argüello Order, the highest recognition that a Nicaraguan athlete can get.
“In this competition there are strong players from the different national chess clubs, academies, members of the youth national team, outstanding first-rate athletes, capital universities such as UPOLI, UAM, UNI, UNITEC, special guests such as the DGA, as well as athletes from schools, representatives of INATEC, private and public companies ”commented the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales.
Armas highlighted that it is an excellent opportunity to measure forces against an opponent with a great sporting career in pinolero chess, such as Marvin Guevara of the Nicaraguan hall of fame.
