




























This Tuesday, August 17, the ALMA–UPOLI Managua 2021 University Games were inaugurated, which will take place over the next 3 months, in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park and in the sports facilities of the university campuses.
With the assistance of athletes from 5 universities in the capital and the sports academies of the Municipality, this sporting event was inaugurated by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, at the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park facilities.
At the inauguration, Mayor Rueda announced that the second edition of the ALMA–UPOLI Managua 2021 University Games will feature the sports disciplines of chess, basketball, soccer, volleyball and table tennis.
He also stated that more than 260 young athletes from the UPOLI, UAM, UPONIC, UNICIT, UNITEC and UNI-IES universities, between 15 and 29 years of age, will participate in these competitions, who will compete for first place in this tournament.
