

















More than 80 athletes in the male and female branch between the ages of 14 to 45, demonstrated their skills and abilities on two wheels on the extreme track of Paseo Xolotlán, this Sunday, August 15 at the National MTB XCO Cycling Championship.
This championship in the discipline of this first edition of the Managua 2021 Youth Games had nine categories: Master A, Master B, Female Elite, Sub 17, Elite, Sub 23, Sub 19.
“The MTB XCO or Mountain Bike is the specialty of cycling practiced in mountainous terrain. Also, it is practiced on winding routes or similar terrain with slopes, usually in natural circuits. It is a demanding sport given the environment in which it is practiced ”, said the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales.
Armas added that this time the competitors were going to have 7 to 10 laps, covering more than 4 kilometers according to the categories, where the first three places in the different branches will be awarded.
