Little boy from Santo Domingo in procession to the Sierritas de Managua

This Tuesday, August 10, families from the capital, devotees and promisers of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, accompanied the Mocito on his traditional tour to the Sierritas de Managua; in an atmosphere of fervor, religiosity and tradition.

The Mocito procession began at 6:00 in the morning in the Loyola sector until it reached the Sierritas de Santo Domingo, in which many traditionalists participated, such as the porters from Managua, led by José Alarcón, popularly known as Chepe. Largo, the grandchildren of Lisímaco Chávez, as well as many promising people who fulfilled one more year for Santo Domingo de Guzmán.

During the procession, families from the capital came out to greet the tiny image of the Mocito, as a sign of gratitude for the favors received.

With this procession, the calendar of cultural and traditional festivities of our Capital city is concluded, in honor of the Patron Saint, who year after year is celebrated starting from the last Sunday of July and the first 10 days of the month of August.
