New streets in the Promised Land neighborhood


In greeting to the 42nd anniversary of the triumph of the Sandinista Popular Revolution and commemorating the 52nd anniversary of the heroic fall of Commander Julio Buitrago Urroz, this Thursday, July 15, 3 new paved blocks were inaugurated in the Tierra Prometida neighborhood of District III of Managua.

This road improvement work was inaugurated by Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who stated that this project is part of the 2021 Streets for the People Program, which for this year plans to serve 830 blocks and that to date has an advance of 64%, with 534 new blocks.

He also highlighted that this asphalt coating had an investment of 1 million 237 thousand 445 córdobas, with which the living conditions of 926 families in this community will be improved; In addition, with this work, a critical point due to flooding in the area is eliminated, because before this street was at a higher level and caused the stagnation of the waters and caused flooding in some houses.

He also announced that, in recent years, the Municipality invested 14 million 667 thousand 608 córdobas, in this neighborhood and among the projects carried out that stand out, is the stabilization of the Tierra Prometida channel in 2011, the sanitary drainage in in 2017, road improvement works in 2015, 2016 and 2021; as well as the construction of 27 decent homes.

For its part, the population expressed its appreciation for the work to restore rights that the Good Government has carried out in recent years, as stated by Mr. Humberto Gómez, founder of this neighborhood, who said that only the Sandinista government has been concerned about the Nicaraguan families, in the same way, Mrs. Patricia Uriarte referred.
