Third date of the Taekwondo Championship at the Managua 2021 Youth Games

This Sunday, July 10, young athletes from the taekwondo academies gathered at the Gym of the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports of the IND, where they will demonstrate their skills acquired in the competitions of the third date of the championship in the Managua 2021 Youth Games.

In these the Managua 2021 Youth Games, more than 200 thousand young people participate in 20 different sports disciplines, including baseball, basketball, futsal, volleyball and boxing, as well as taekwondo, which is one of the sports that has acquired the greatest boom in recent years and that at the national level already has more than 5,000 athletes, according to data from the Nicaraguan Federation of Taekwondo.

“This competition was developed in an atmosphere of joy and fraternity, where the parents, relatives and friends of the young athletes also attended, who were doing the barbell and cheering their competitors, in the categories from 12 to 14, from 15 to 17 and from 18 to 29 years old, in the modalities of Punsae and Combat, female and male ”, said the mayor of the capital Enrique Armas Rosales.

These games are a sports platform to promote entertainment, fun and integration opportunities in all the territories of our Capital city, with a high population density.

"These games seem great to me thanks to that commitment to continue supporting sport in its different disciplines of good government, led by Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario," said Jordy Ortega.
